Key Features
Our CIT program is designed for individuals aged 16-17, who are eager to transition from camp participants to camp leaders. As a CIT, you will embark on a transformative experience that combines mentorship, practical training, and personal development. Under the guidance of experienced counselors and camp professionals, you will actively contribute to the camp community while honing your leadership abilities.
Mentorship and Training
CITs will receive personalized mentorship from seasoned camp counselors, learning the art of effective communication, positive role modeling, and behavior management. Through workshops and activity sessions, you will develop the skills necessary to lead, inspire, and create a positive camp environment.
Hands-On Experience
CITs will have the opportunity to actively engage with campers, assisting counselors during activities, supervising games, planning EPs and theme days, and supporting campers in various endeavors. This hands-on experience allows you to apply your knowledge, gain confidence, and develop your unique leadership style.
Leadership Workshops
Dive deep into leadership workshops tailored to CITs, focusing on team building, conflict resolution, and program planning. These workshops provide valuable insights and practical tools to excel as a future camp counsellor at Camp Eden Woods.
Responsibility and Independence
CITs will be entrusted with increasing levels of responsibility, encouraging independent decision-making and problem-solving. This empowering experience prepares you for the challenges and rewards of being a full-fledged camp counselor.
