Sports Camp in Richmond Hill and Thornhill

Camp Eden is pleased to introduce a new and exciting sports program, E-Sports, to our expanding camp family.  This two week program incorporates a variety of land sports, with skill building, techniques, games and competitions, and also combines traditional camping such as nature, cooperative games, hiking,  swimming and theme days.  Some of the sports include: baseball, basketball, soccer, football, volleyball, floor hockey, tennis, golf, ultimate frisbee, archery, badminton, track and field, etc.  With no need for any sport background, E-Sports allows all campers to experience sports through fun, recreation, and instruction all in the beautiful setting of Camp Eden in Thornhill.

Hello, my name is Brian Rybak and I will be your new Sports Program Director this summer at Camp Eden.  As a secondary school Health and Physical Education teacher and over 20 years experience as a camper and counsellor at various camps, I bring a vast amount of training and experience to the position.  I graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours B.A. in 1999, followed by my Bachelor of Education from OISE/Univerity of Toronto in June 2002.  I have since completed my Master Of Education at OISE/UT in Developmental Psychology in Education, in June 2008.  I have been teaching Physical Education for 8 years in the York Region District School Board.  I serve as my school's Athletic Designate and have been coaching rugby and swimming for the past 5 years.  My camp experience includes both day camps and sleepover camps, in a variety of positions.  I look forward to building a developing a new program with this year's staff and counsellors.
